  2.     ADD SCHEDULED BACKUP
  3.  
  4.     The Scheduled Backup Add window contains the following fields:
  5.  
  6.     Backup Name
  7.  
  8.     Use this field to specify the backup's name.
  9.  
  10.     Description
  11.  
  12.     Use this field to provide a brief description of the backup.
  13.  
  14.     Backup Device
  15.  
  16.     Use this field to specify the logical device name for the backup.
  17.     Logical device names are defined via the Configure Devices window
  18.     (see "Configure Devices" on page 6-2). You can also click on the
  19.     arrow button to the right to bring up a list of all defined device
  20.     names and select one of them.

  22.     Catalog Name
  23.  
  24.     If you have enabled backup catalogs, specify in this field which
  25.     catalog will be used to keep a record of this backup. See the
  26.     Catalog function in the Session Preferences menu item (see"Session
  27.     Preferences" on page 2-2 for more details).

  29.     Backup Type
  30.  
  31.     These toggle buttons specify whether to run an Incremental or Full
  32.     backup. The Incremental backup choice will also activate the Backup
  33.     files CHANGED toggle buttons.

  35.     Backup files CHANGED
  36.  
  37.     This set of toggle buttons specifies which files should be backed up
  38.     during an Incrementally backup. The options are files that have
  39.     changed:
  40.  
  41.     + Since Last Full Backup (the default)
  42.     + Since Last Incremental Backup
  43.     + Within time period
  44.  
  45.     The Within time period choice will also activate the Number of Days
  46.     field so you can specify a time period.
  47.  
  48.     Number of Days
  49.  
  50.     You can use this field to specify how many days back Enlighten will
  51.     check to see if a file has changed and therefore should be backed
  52.     up. The arrow buttons to the right will automatically increment or
  53.     decrement the number displayed in the text field.

  55.     Remain in partition
  56.  
  57.     Use this option to select whether you want the backup to cover only
  58.     the immediately defined partition for a particular directory (Yes)
  59.     or all partitions listed under that directory (No). The default is
  60.     Yes.

  62.     **File List**
  63.  
  64.     Use this list box to enter which files will be checked for changes.
  65.     Those which have changed will then be the backed up as specified in
  66.     the preceding fields.

  68.     Time of Backup
  69.  
  70.     You can use this field with the Schedule Type toggle buttons to
  71.     determine when a backup should be executed. See the Schedule Type
  72.     field description below for more details on how this field is used.

  74.     Schedule Type
  75.  
  76.     This set of toggle buttons determines how and when the backup will
  77.     occur. The choices are:
  78.  
  79.     + Weekly The days of the week will be displayed. Select which days
  80.       the backups should occur. Enter when the backup will occur in the
  81.       Time of Backup field.
  82.  
  83.     + Monthly The days of the month will be displayed. Select which days
  84.       the backups should occur. Enter when the backup will occur in the
  85.       Time of Backup field.

  87.     + Manual This option does not schedule a time to perform the backup;
  88.       you run it by selecting the Execute Now button in the Scheduled
  89.       Backup Configuration parent window.
  90.  
  91.     + One time Specify a (one time) date and time to run the backup in
  92.       the Time of Backup field.

  94.     To specify a time/date value, see "TIME FORMATS" on page C-1.

  98.     The Scheduled Backup Add window contains the following buttons:

  102.     Click on this button to create the scheduled backup defined by the
  103.     rest of this window's fields.

  106.     Clear Fields

  108.     Click on this button to clear the existing choices in all fields.

  110.     Execute Now
  111.  
  112.     Click on this button to execute the highlighted backup immediately.
  113.     This occurs regardless of the backup's defined schedule time.

  117.     Click on this button to close the window without saving any
  118.     scheduled backup information.
